To find Quemado on this map look at the very center-west area of dark green right on the Arizona border. That irregular brick is Catron County containing, among others, the small town of Quemado. 200 miles from Albuquerque and 60 miles from the nearest hospital this town is about as "middle of nowhere" as you could possibly get.
